1x18: Kutch (Butch!Kurt)

Looks like we got a case of Laryngitis of the Brain! We've witnessed episode 1x18 "Laryngitis", the one where Rachel learns that disabled people have worse lives than her and also Kurt raids his dad's closet to make his own. But at least there are plenty of zingers! Tanner googles Agasse, Christina calls out Puck, and they both fail to resist the urge to break into song.

1x17: How Do We Break into Horny Jail?

We were a little out of it when we recorded this one, what with the looming Historical Event at the time of. But now that we have an idea where things stand, let's watch "Bad Reputation", an episode that does not include the song "Bad Reputation". But what it does include is a lot of slow motion laughter and several sneaky baselines. Christina dissociates, Tanner drinks, Emma decides to "yes and", and Kurt should've gotten a Miss Marple moment.

1x16: Haunted Chair Watch

What a nice chill episode this was. "Home" isn't perfect, but we liked its messages about body image and moving on, and came up with a great spin-off idea. Tanner has a tooth corner, Christina burns down a roller rink for the insurance money, Carol plays an uno reverse card, and Finn lives in a closet (not a metaphor).

Better draw your bath of rosepetals and poke someone's eye out with your bra, it's time for "The Power of Madonna"! Certified heterophobe Emily is here to help us make our way through this episode. Is it quicker than a ray of light? Hell no, this thing is dense as fuck. Finn learns a new word, Rachel dons her sex cape, Tanner is the Jesse defender, Emily programs the Sue Sylvester twitter-bot, and Christina was a dream the whole time.

H-hewwo? The idea behind this episode of Glee was to catch people up if they were joining halfway through. The end result, we found, was that Glee is pretty bad sometimes. Sectionals is finally here! And for this special occasion we have gifted, nay, inflicted this episode upon our friend and Real Life Show Choir Participant Riley Hopkins! We put diamonds in their cake and they've been 2d6 psychic damage. Also, Christina begs for spare character development, Tanner has to "well actually", Finn recieves some information that could potentially hurt him, and Emma has a wedding dress under her pantsuit.

There is so much happening on this episode y'all. 1x12 mattress has to finish about half the arcs that have been happening this whole season and emotionally feels like 2 episodes worth of development. But at least the kids can be friends doing funny friend mattress commerical, right? Christina has a hot new AU for Emma, Tanner learns fun facts about 80s hits, John Ross Bowie is here, and the yearbook composition is a mess.

We cover "Hairogrpahy" this week, a bad episode! Nothing that occurs was thought through very well! Between a poorly thought out "bad girls" school, Quinn's parenting feels doing a complete 180, and a Deaf choir forced to sing "Imagine", Tanner has been sent into a downward spiral. Meanwhile, Christina goes "wig", and Santana has to explain what a sext is. 2009!

What even is a Ballad? At the very least it's the tenth episode of glee, in which Finn gets a (mostly) cute plot with Kurt about fatherhood and Rachel cranks her creepiness up to eleven by attempting to seduce Will. Yikes! Also the school might be haunted. Tanner does a bad Segway, Christina thinks Finn should have a gun, and Diana Agron is ACTING.
